Generally I use places like FTD, Bloomex and Canada Flowers but decided to give Grower Direct a chance because I was sending flowers to my mother in law in Thunder Bay. I was so disappointed in the service.

I placed the order on a Thursday and was told that it would be delivered on the Friday (Mother's Day was on Sunday). I received an email saying the delivery had been successful. My husband got in touch with his mother on Tuesday of the next week and she indicated that she had not received the flowers.

I called and left a message outlining the details of the order (order number/name/my information) and NOBODY called me back. Nobody called me back to apologize. Nobody called me back to say if and when my flowers were going to be delivered. Nobody called me back to say if my credit card was going to be credited since the flowers were not delivered as promised even though I had received an email from them indicated that the flowers had been delivered.

I called back the next day and talked to an extremely rude person who 'doesn't deal with this side of the business' and could not help me at all. As you can imagine I was quite upset at this point and expressed my disappointment with their business practices.

I would not recommend using this service. There are many other very nice and very competent places to order flowers from in Thunder Bay. Buyer beware.

Not only are they incompetent but they are rude and unapologetic. Very bad business practices.
